One of the most unique challenges facing seniors is Identity Theft. The National Debt Foundation has created this amazing program to help us understand this complex issue and how to protect yourself. Closing for Passover
The JCC will be closing at 3:00 PM on March 29 because it is the Eve of Passover. The Centers will remain closed for the first two days of Passover, March 30 and March 31. The Centers will reopen with their normal hours on Thursday, April 1.

Co-Ed Softball Team
The JCC South Center has formed a Co-Ed Softball Team. The first game for the 2nd part of this league will be Wednesday, March 31st at North Shore Park. All the games are on Wednesday nights. If you would like any information about game times to go support the JCC team, call us at (727) 321-6100.

Positive Parenting Seminar North County
Come learn some easy techniques for Positive Parenting from Claire Yogman. Claire has the knowledge that will help you and your family with over 30+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She is a former teacher at Pauline Rivkind Pre-school at Congregation B’nai Israel, employee of the Pinellas County License Board for Children’s Centers and Family Day Care Homes and has worked for Directions for the past seven years in the Early Childhood Consultation Program, teaching parent education. This will be an interactive course with plenty of time for Q & A and helpful hints handouts will be available.
Child Care will be provided at each Positive Parenting Course. Please call 727-321-6100 to Reserve your space in the Parenting course.

Family Self Defense-North Center
Come join the JCC Suncoast to learn in family fun environment how to defend yourself. This family self defense course will teach you and your family the fundamentals of assertive techniques for conflict solving in the context of motivational aspects. You will learn how to get out of hand holds and knowledge of basic blocks and strikes. The Instructor, Caroline Portugaul-Hernandez, is professionally trained in hand-to-hand combat. From her pro-fighting experience to Japanese & Barzilian Jujitsu, she will teach you and your family how to be aware of your surroundings to help ensure your safety. The class is a two week class, April 25 and May 7.

Locks of Love
Please come join The New JCC Centers of it all, Locks of Love Foundation, and T J Mars Salon on Sunday April 25, 2010 For Locks of Love- Donate your Ponytail for the Kids. This amazing cause is a national event that helps promote the awareness of children who struggle with medical hair loss (Alopecia Areata), which has no known cure. All ponytails and funds donated will go directly to the Locks of Love foundation to provide hairpieces, wigs and overall support and encouragement to children suffering from cancer, leukemia, alopecia and several burns.
We encourage the community in participate in the great Free event at the New North Center and support this great worthwhile cause that can bring a smiles and happiness to the children throughout not only our community, but our entire country!
